Hi. I’m Christina, the artist behind Indigo Crow Studio.

I have been a maker for as long as I can remember. I made the rounds through various mediums, but when I picked up hand embroidery and fabric arts, I knew I wanted to stay awhile.

In the beginning, it was mostly an alternative to scrolling on my phone. But soon, it was an obsession. I am constantly thinking about what I am working on or plan to work on.

Part of what I love about embroidery is that you can do it anywhere. I embroider on my sofa after work, with my stitchy friends (anywhere, really), on airplanes and on the train into the city. And on a boat with my mom, sister, and nieces - thanks for the photo, Malorie!

My roots are in South Carolina, and my home is in the suburbs of Seattle, Washington. I love spending time with my people and my puppies. My day job is in project management and management consulting.

I am inspired by the natural spaces around me, animals - especially birds, and capturing the specialness of a memory in a piece of art.

I am excited to see where we go from here!
